The "Set the Configuration" is checked by default. To connect to the database you must leave this checked and click Finish. The configuration can also be done later from the Windows Start menu. |

If the installation is on a different computer than where the Server was installed, click the radial button that says Client only Computer. (use the Server/Client Computer radial button only if the Medscribbler Server is on the same computer) |

This screen is to allow your Tablet PC or other client computer to find the Medscribbler database. The server computer name and IP address is displayed during the server database installation. A network specialist may also know these. To save time type in the name or IP of the server and click Finish. If you do not know where the Medscribbler database is located, click "Find a database". Note the warning on the screen. |

Because of Windows security, complete control of the computer is taken over by Windows during this process. This may appear to make the computer "freeze" or "stutter" but it is still working. Click on Stop once and wait (upto several minutes), on the next security cycle Windows will recognize the click and stop the process. When a database is found type the IP or computer name in exactly as found or simply double click on an item to insert it. Click Finish. Remember, the server computer and the network/wireless router must be turned on and the Windows firewall set-up correctly to connect a client computer. |

The Transcription Editor may be installed anywhere (ie. India). The Medscribbler BDE must be installed if the Editor is on a computer that does not have the Medscribbler Client or Server on it already. For a remote location installation contact a Network Specialist. An unlimited number of Transcription Editors may be installed without licences. |
